Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using StatChat ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Description of Service

StatChat is a baseball statistics application that answers natural language questions using a combination of a historical baseball database and AI-powered query processing. The App is provided by Second Signal, Inc. ("we", "us", "our").

Use of the App

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App.
• Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our servers or services.
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the App.
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the App's content or responses.

Free and Paid Tiers

The App offers a limited number of free queries per week. Unlimited access is available through a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions for in-app purchases and subscriptions.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.

Accuracy and Disclaimers

While we strive for accuracy, StatChat is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:

• The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of statistical data or AI-generated responses.
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the App.
• Fitness for any particular purpose.

StatChat is intended for informational and entertainment purposes. Do not rely on it for gambling, financial decisions, or any purpose where inaccurate data could cause harm.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and content, is the property of Second Signal, Inc. and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Historical baseball data is sourced from Retrosheet and the Chadwick Bureau under their respective licenses.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Second Signal, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
